The exhibition  “Traces of Disappearance” is taking place at the Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo until 13th of April, 2014.

For its 9th exhibition, Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo presents a group show entitled “Traces of Disappearance” curated by Murielle Hladik and Eva Kraus.

With the ambivalence between conservation and decomposition, and between the desire for eternity and ephemerality as its theme, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the passage of time. Including human beings and the artifacts created by them, nothing in this world is eternal, but subject to the machinations of time. The featured artists, Naoya Hatakeyama, Kasper Kovitz, Anne and Patrick Poirier, and Goang-Ming Yuan express this concept with various motifs, materials and media.

We hope you will enjoy the exhibition which will raise universal questions deeply related to the existence of human beings.
