The historic Vuitton family home in Asnières provides the backdrop for a very up-to-the-minute fashion shoot. Models Lorelle, Rianne, Amalie and Mae Mei are photographed in the house’s lush garden or against the Art Nouveau windows of the living room for a series of images that capture the contemporary spirit Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière has brought to Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections.
In this little haven just outside Paris, where past, present and future combine, Ghesquière’s girls look strong in leather and fur, and demure in lace and knit. Meanwhile, accessories – bags, shoes, belts and jewelry – give a sense of the exhilarating variety of life.
In the Asnières workshop, Louis Vuitton’s highly skilled artisans craft the Haute Maroquinerie leather goods line, as well as all special orders. All the facets of the House are thus represented by the graceful, modern models in the garden.
