Louis Vuitton’s artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, received the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund’s Women’s Leadership Award at the annual gala in New York.

Last night, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall was filled with the spirit of Louis Vuitton for the annual Lincoln Center Corporate Fund Gala, which hosted the Maison and Nicolas Ghesquière. In addition to honouring the artistic director with its Women’s Leadership Award, the event consisted of a one-night exhibition of his designs, spanning fashion collections to architectural installations.

Co-chaired by Steven R. Swartz, President and CEO of Hearst; Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s BAZAAR; Christina Baker; Fiona and Stan Drukenmiller; and Miroslava Duma, the non-profit Corporate Fund Gala raises necessary, unrestricted, corporate financial support for Lincoln Center’s ten resident arts organisations.

Among the evening’s highlights was a unique concert curated by Woodkid featuring the New York Philharmonic with a special performance from Catherine Deneuve who recited a spoken word dedication to art. When the moment came for Ghesquière to accept the award, Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany were there to bestow the honour upon him.

The gala’s host committee was represented by Delphine Arnault and Michael Burke, as well as ongoing friends of the Maison such as Michelle Williams, Nicole Kidman, Riley Keough, Ruth Negga, Xavier Dolan, Justin Theroux, Jaden Smith, Cindy Sherman, Noomi Rapace, Léa Seydoux, Hidetoshi Nakata, Laura Harrier, and Sophie Turner. Hearst Magazines Chief Content Officer Joanna Coles, Lincoln Center Chair Katherine Farley and Lincoln Center President Debora L. Spar were also among the guests.

Louis Vuitton is the latest honouree among a distinguished list that includes Carolina Herrera, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Maria Grazia Churi and Pierpaolo Piccioli representing Valentino. Over the past four years, the event has raised $5.5 million which helps ensure that Lincoln Center remains a beacon of outstanding artistic output.

Louis Vuitton unveils new look for Tainan Mitsukoshi Store.

Inspired by the Louis Vuitton Monogram Flower, the façade features a shading of white and copper petals, embossed in a flower pattern motif behind a layer of sparkling clear glass. An open archway entrance welcomes clients into the store, where they are greeted by a vestibule displaying an extensive leather goods presentation artfully arranged on glass shelves and brass frames with brushed oak timber panels. Flooring in light stalactite stone completes the dynamic environment of understated elegance.

Along with the new look for the Tainan store, Louis Vuitton will launch an exclusive hat box with a custom “sword-lion” painting design. Clients can also hot stamp this unique design on various small leather goods for personalization. This richly historical figure, a testament to the heritage of Tainan, will now be celebrated by Louis Vuitton to symbolize the House’s commitment to culture and savoir-faire.

Enjoy our new dedicated space with an exotic atmosphere for the Men Spring-Summer 2018 Pre-collection.

The Louis Vuitton space of Rinascente Milano Piazza Duomo, located at the ground floor, changes again, presenting a new permanent concept dedicated to the Men Spring-Summer 2018 Pre-Collection, designed by Kim Jones.

The store has a magical and exotic atmosphere, just like a lost paradise. On the walls coloured like a sunset, there are coconut palms that little monkeys try to reach. In the middle of the space, there is a small eMk6 electric car customized with tropical flowers together with the floral pattern of the Spring-Summer 2018 Louis Vuitton Pre-collection.

The store's offer includes all Men product categories: ready-to-wear, accessories, leathergoods and shoes. Hawaii, with their traditional Aloha shirts, inspired the prints. The name "Louis Vuitton", along with the names of the cities in the world, becomes a slogan printed on t-shirts, shirts and textiles that underlines the link with the journey, which has always been part of the Maison's identity.
