Late summer sunshine greeted the thousands of spectators at the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Toulon.

Nathan Outteridge, Skipper, Artemis Racing: “We weren’t really up to it at the start of the series, but that’s what the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series is for, it’s to prepare you for the America’s Cup and it feels like we’re on the right way up.”

That result extends the English team overall lead in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series as attention now turns to the final event in Fukuoka, Japan.

September 9th, 10th and 11th, for the first time ever, six teams will confront each other on the crystal clear waters of Mourillon Beach: American Defender Oracle Team USA (Trophy holder) and their challengers, Emirates Team New Zealand, Land Rover BAR, Artemis Racing, SoftBank Japan and Groupama Team France.

For this weekend’s races, Oracle Team USA has announced that Olympic gold medalist Tom Slingsby will take over as skipper, while Jimmy Spithill rehabs an injured elbow.

From September 1st until October 22nd, the prestigious Knightsbridge store will house the complete collection of seven fragrances, devised by Louis Vuitton’s first ever in-house perfumer, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud , the third-generation Grasse-born nose. The perfumes are the result of several months spent traveling the five continents in search of intensely feminine exotic floral notes in addition to a new note reminiscent of Louis Vuitton leather. From the lightness of Rose des Vents to the heady and intoxicating Turbulences, akin to the ecstasy of a love at first sight encounter, to Dans la Peau,  an infusion of natural leather from Louis Vuitton’s workshops, to the mindful immersion in nature with Apogée an elixir of innocence; from the self-revealing Contre Moi boasting orchid and vanilla from Madagascar to an exploration of a darker side with Matière Noire and the explosion of the senses with Mille Feux... Les parfums Louis Vuitton is a journey of the emotions, now discoverable in the sumptuous surroundings of Harrods.

The Asnières atelier is a pivotal location. Barely five years after founding Louis Vuitton, Louis himself began to outgrow his Parisian headquarters. In 1859, he relocated the new workshop to Asnières, a village a few kilometers northwest of Paris. 

This new atelier was built in the ethereal Eiffel style, combining glass and steel. The exceptional savoir-faire of the Asnières artisans is such that, even today, key pieces are created here: rigid trunks, designs in rare or exotic leathers, special orders. 

From within its “Galérie” in Asnières, Louis Vuitton presents Time Capsule, a journey through the history of the House that revisits its landmark innovations in technology and design. Travelling from the House’s beginnings in 1854 to the present day, the story is told using rare and celebrated objects selected from the Louis Vuitton archive.

The exhibition follows a visual timeline of landmark moments in the Louis Vuitton story, demonstrating the ways in which Louis Vuitton has anticipated the needs and desires of a changing world over 160 years generated by technological progress, with imaginative and ingenious new creations.

In Time Capsule, heirloom designs live alongside some of the House’s most contemporary pieces, highlighting the ongoing commitment to constant innovation.
