• ANNOUNCING LOUIS VUITTON MAISON SEOUL

Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul, marking a spectacular new collaboration with celebrated architects Frank Gehry and Peter Marino.

Perched atop the prestigious Cheongdam-dong area of the Gangnam district, the building marks Frank Gehry’s first creation in South Korea and displays a clear connection with the shape of the architect’s Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. The opening of the Maison Seoul marks a further link in the strong connection between Louis Vuitton and Korean culture. The very first store in Seoul opened in 1991, followed by a global store following in Cheongdam-dong in 2000. Exhibitions and work by Korean artists have been featured at the Espace Louis Vuitton in Paris, with the House also holding major events in Seoul. In 2017 the landmark ‘Volez Voguez Voyagez’ exhibition dedicated to Louis Vuitton’s heritage and history travelled to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

Stay tuned for more information about the opening on October 31st, 2019.

    • LOUIS VUITTON UNVEILS A NEW STORE IN PHUKET - Louis Vuitton Heritage NEWS
Louis Vuitton embarks on a new voyage to Phuket, a haven of tropical modernism, where the first Thai store outside Bangkok opens in the new mall 'Central Phuket'.

Conceived in the international spirit of Louis Vuitton yet incorporating local elements, the interiors of the Phuket store are unique to Thailand. Tracing its journey from the West to the East, a Sino-Portuguese style has infused the space through wall sculptures and installations inspired by the design elements of local handicrafts.

The interior expresses the Maison's codes with subtle off-white cut-out panels in a pattern that recalls the iconic Monogram's motif, floating like lace in a light-filled expanse.  At a special space within the store, an abundance of tropical plants invite clients to discover Louis Vuitton's resort offer in a setting centered around the legacy of Phuket’s beautiful beaches and island life.

  • LOUIS VUITTON I (RED) CANDLE

LOUIS VUITTON I (RED) CANDLE - Louis Vuitton Fashion NEWS
Louis Vuitton unveils an exclusive new perfumed candle in support of (RED)'s fight to end AIDS

The mission of (RED), the organization created by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006, is to transform the collective power of consumers into a force for good. Louis Vuitton proudly supports (RED)’s actions with the creation of a new LOUIS VUITTON I (RED) perfumed candle. For each candle sold, $60 will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS with (RED).

In the spirit of Louis Vuitton’s longstanding history of creative collaboration, the LOUIS VUITTON I (RED) candle has been composed by the Maison's Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, and its design created by Marc Newson. Taking the color red as his inspiration, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud selected the finest-quality natural ingredients to develop the candle’s fragrance, creating an olfactory experience that evokes the universal emotions of love, freedom, warmth, and purity. By blending a peony’s sweet, peppery and floral olfactory notes with the fruity vibrancy of raspberries, the burning candle becomes alive with harmony, optimism, and emotive pleasure. Rich in character, yet subtle, instantly transforming the home into a haven of comfort.

The LOUIS VUITTON I (RED) candle is available in Louis Vuitton stores around the world, and online at louisvuitton.com, starting in October 9th, 2019. To learn more, go to RED.org and follow @RED on Instagram. Join us #endAIDS
