• LOUIS VUITTON GEORGE STREET MAISON REOPENS

Visit Louis Vuitton's Sydney Maison at 365 George Street.

Louis Vuitton's Sydney Maison reopens on November 25th at 365 George Street after 12 months of renovations, unveiling a complete reimagining of the interior spaces by New York based architect Peter Marino.

The original bank doors, open to a Damier check patterned floor of black and white tiles, where women's leather goods, watches, jewellery, travel, fragrance and accessories are located. The men's universe of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories by Louis Vuitton Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh inhabits the lower-ground floor. As clients step onto the first floor, they are transported into the women's universe with salons showcasing the latest ready-to-wear and shoe collections by Artistic Director of Women's Collections, Nicolas Ghesquiere. In addition, a permanent selection of Objets Nomades is presented, the collection of designer travel and home related objects that launched in 2012, keeping alive Louis Vuitton's long tradition of beautifully crafted travel-inspired objects. Perched high above the Louis Vuitton product offering is the Apartment, a series of intimate salons, a gallery and dining area accessed privately.

The Maison provides an entirely unique private shopping experience surrounded by works of art, historical Louis Vuitton archival objects and unparalleled artisanal savoir-fare. Peter Marino curated the many artworks and furniture presented in the store and nurtures Sydney's relationship with nature and the harbour through the display of works by Peter Dayton, Richard Misrach and Thomas Struth.

  • DAN CARTER FOR UNICEF ON WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY

Louis Vuitton and Dan Carter join UNICEF in appealing for support to children affected by the Syrian crisis.

As part of Louis Vuitton’s efforts to raise awareness and funds for UNICEF, the New Zealand international rugby union player recently visited the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan to help children facing one of the world’s most challenging humanitarian crisis.

“After visiting Jordan and experiencing the amazing work that UNICEF is doing here, it has made me realize that no child should have to live in poverty, without water or without food. Every child deserves a fair chance in life […] Every child should be given the opportunity to grow up and fulfill their potential. By supporting UNICEF, you are helping provide the most vulnerable children with education, a safe environment to live and play in and hope for the future,” says Dan Carter.

UNICEF is the leading humanitarian and development organization working globally for the rights of every child. The aim of the LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF  partnership is to raise funds that help support children who are exposed to conflict, diseases, natural disasters and other situations that threaten their safety and well-being. Since January 2016, the partnership has raised more than $8m to help bring children life-saving humanitarian support, which includes children affected by the conflict in Syria.

  • CŒUR BATTANT: THE FILM

Emma Stone stars in the campaign film for Louis Vuitton’s new Cœur Battant fragrance, directed by Romain Gavras.

In this new collaboration between Louis Vuitton and the award-winning French director, the short film showcases the House Ambassador as she experiences a powerful and positive emotional journey.

According to Romain Gavras, known for his powerful work both on feature films and music videos, the concept for the project came from Emma Stone’s incredible capacity to express emotion, and the final cut displays the many facets of her personality both as an actress and a woman. We follow her through the stunning architecture of the Casa Malaparte (famously used as a set for Jean-Luc Godard’s Le Mépris in 1963), and its equally magical situation on the cliffs above the Bay of Capri. The film spans night and day, sun and rain, passion, joy and melancholy: Emma dances, dreams and dives into the sea as she waits to be reunited with her loved one. Romain Gavras then takes us to the equally symbolic setting of the Cour Carrée, the “beating heart” of Paris, transformed for the film into a magical field of romantic flowers.
