The Espace Louis Vuitton München is pleased to present Les Approches, showcasing the positions of filmmaker Chantal Akerman and French artist Annette Messager.
For its first 2016 exhibition, the Espace Louis Vuitton München presents the exhibition Les Approches as part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton "Hors-les-murs" project, showcasing the artistic positions of the Belgian-born experimental filmmaker Chantal Akerman and the French visual artist Annette Messager.
Les Approches, examines existential and autobiographical elements that form a common thread in artists’ oeuvres, including their mutual quest to improve both representations of women and the position of female artists in the broader critical context of the visual arts since the 1970s.
