The exhibition  “Traces of Disappearance” is taking place at the Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo until 13th of April, 2014.

For its 9th exhibition, Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo presents a group show entitled “Traces of Disappearance” curated by Murielle Hladik and Eva Kraus.

With the ambivalence between conservation and decomposition, and between the desire for eternity and ephemerality as its theme, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the passage of time. Including human beings and the artifacts created by them, nothing in this world is eternal, but subject to the machinations of time. The featured artists, Naoya Hatakeyama, Kasper Kovitz, Anne and Patrick Poirier, and Goang-Ming Yuan express this concept with various motifs, materials and media.

We hope you will enjoy the exhibition which will raise universal questions deeply related to the existence of human beings.

  • A WILD WEST COLLECTION

The Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014 Men’s collection captures the freedom of the American road trip, from East to the West, and specifically designed for modern travelers.

“The clothing should have that do-what-you-want attitude. It’s the changing environment from city to forest to desert.” says Kim Jones, Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Studio and Style Director. He adapted the iconography of classic American sportswear, workwear, and formalwear to create a chic eclectic allure, always on the road.

Icons of American pop and clothing culture are transposed in the form of a Perfecto jacket with Gaston V tuffetage, pied-de-poule checked slim pants, Japanese kimono silk blouson, tie-dyed military parka, custom Louis Vuitton Bandana print patchwork or perforated Damier caramel Nomade leather bag.

Created for different occasions and usages, their versatility allows them to be reinvented by each individual to suit his own needs.  In this new animation, dive in the life of these adventurers.
