  • TROPICAL JOURNEY: THE SUMMER COLLECTION

Evocative of exotic and far away lands, Louis Vuitton introduces the new summer collection.

The "Tropical Journey" capsule collection takes us to paradise with lush nature-inspired prints.

This season, the Summer collection offers two new printed stories: the "Monogram Jungle", an iconic Monogram canvas twisted with a new print inspired by Californian landscapes and its emblematic palm trees and oasis. Also highlighted is the "Monogram Vernis Jungle", a Monogram patent leather covered with dots reminding of exotic animals fur.

These new prints are available on Louis Vuitton's iconic models such as Speedy and Neverfull, as well as accessories and shoes.

LOUIS VUITTON EXHIBITION IN TOKYO - BOOK YOUR VISIT - Louis Vuitton Heritage NEWS
Louis Vuitton will celebrate “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez – Louis Vuitton” in Tokyo from 23rd April 2016 till 19th June 2016.

You can book your visit here.

Curated by Olivier Saillard, it retraces Louis Vuitton’s great journey from 1854 till today, through archives of the Family’s founding members to those who create the Louis Vuitton of today.

Since the end of the 19th century, the House has always maintained strong ties with Japan. From the mon (family crest) inspirations of the Monogram canvas, to the long list of renowned Japanese clients such as the political leader Taisuke Itagaki, and the collaborations with Japanese contemporary artists from Murakami to Kusama.

“Louis Vuitton has always been at the forefront of creation and innovation, today live over a century ago. Constantly taking inspiration from our past we craft the trends of today. Olivier Saillard has immersed himself in the Louis Vuitton archives to decode its secrets. He delivers a fresh vision of our past, present and future.” says Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton.

The exhibition will be held in a bespoke structure in Kojimachi, the neighbourhood in Tokyo, where in 1978 Louis Vuitton opened its first store in Japan.
