• MEN'S STYLE SELECTOR FW18

Discover Louis Vuitton’s City Essentials lineup for fall

Your wardrobe update starts here. The new Men’s Style Selector can facilitate your perfect total look by suggesting key accessories and leathergoods that correspond to three different lifestyle themes: Relaxed Sport, City Essentials, and Business Smart.

A closer look at the City Essentials reveals a distinctive range of accent pieces such as the Skyline belt, Damier black necklace and Derby boots. Added to classic trousers that boast leather belt loops, they signal an elegant uniform with everyday functionality. Layering a lightweight nylon blouson with one in padded leather reinforces a fresher look. Regarding leathergoods, the Graphite Damier backpack, the Steamer backpack style in Mongram Eclipse, and the Messenger bag in cobalt Epi leather are all equally well-suited to city functionality.

Swing one over the shoulder of a new double-face Monogram coat and add a pair Monogram patterned black sunglasses to make a statement that gives off contemporary polish and understated cool.

  • COSTA MESA SOUTH COAST PLAZA STORE OPENING

On July 11th, 2018, Louis Vuitton reopens its newly expanded Flagship Store

The new store is defined as a travel destination, located at 3333 Bristol Street, fully renovated and redesigned by Peter Marino and features the first in-store atelier in the United States. Balancing old and new, Marino utilizes techniques and materials that reference the French history and craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton, while carefully integrating ultra-modern designs into the California store such as the twisting high tech carbon fiber shelving throughout which references the horizontal speed of travel.

Costa Mesa South Coast Plaza will offer a vast assortment of exclusive product available only at this location. Highlights include a metallic leopard print Petite Malle and Capucines mini, a crocodile version of the Christopher backpack, the Women’s Star Trail Monogram Ankle Boot with patches, the Men’s Trocadero Richelieu sneaker in a variety of Epi leathers and rabbit fur Wilderness blankets and pillows. From the ready-to-wear métier, exclusive versions of the Women’s skater dress and Men’s Split Hand LV print sweater and satin Warm Up shirt have been created just for Costa Mesa South Coast Plaza. To celebrate the opening, Louis Vuitton’s Diamond Blossom XL fine jewelry medallion will prelaunch at the store ahead of the worldwide launch.

The House has taken over the floor above the store for the first ever in-store workshop and resident artisan studio in the United States, creating the ultimate savoir-faire experience. Guests will be able to watch Louis Vuitton’s top artisans handcraft and restore pieces on-site in this authentic atelier. Costa Mesa South Coast Plaza’s main floor will feature a full time hand-painter who will be personalizing hard-sided travel pieces with custom motifs. • LOUIS VUITTON TRAVEL BOOK "PRAGUE"

For Pavel Pepperstein, Prague is a place of sentimental value with an almost protective character.

He arrived there from his native Russia at the age of fourteen and was “immediately struck by the beauty and mystery of this incredible city”, at that time less sophisticated and less of a tourist destination. The dilapidated state of certain deserted neighbourhoods served to reinforce the city’s enigmatic nature. “I have never since felt the force of that kind of presence, and never had such a strong sense of the essence of Europe anywhere else.” Pavel Pepperstein praises the city’s different neighbourhoods, such as the very popular St. Vitus Cathedral, and is equally enthusiastic about the dilapidated areas and semi-abandoned factories at the end of the tram lines.

Pavel Pepperstein is a multi-disciplinary artist, while drawing remains his core medium and raw material, he is also an author, theorist and musician. Ever observant and critical of the society he inhabits, in 2009 Pavel Pepperstein was chosen to represent Russia at the Venice Biennale.
