NOW OPEN: CRUISE 2020 POP-UP IN SEOUL - Louis Vuitton Fashion NEWS
Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce a pop-up space dedicated to the Cruise 2020 Collection at Galleria EAST from October 28th to November 7th, 2019.

A Louis Vuitton pop-up store will open on the first floor of Seoul's Galleria EAST from October 28th through November 7th, 2019, offering clients an advance opportunity to discover and purchase select items from the Cruise 2020 Collection.

The design of the pop-up store is inspired by the TWA Flight Center architecture at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, where Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2020 show took place this past May. This building was designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen as an ode to the jet age, striking a  balance between the concrete structure and ample natural light. For the space at Galleria EAST, the lightness and brightness of TWA Flight Center has been transported to Seoul.

Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2020 Collection, unveiled for the first time in South Korea at the Galleria Department Store, captures the joy of embarking on a new journey through sophisticated printing, clever embroidery, and dazzling brocades.

Visit Louis Vuitton’s London Maison at 17-20 New Bond Street.

Louis Vuitton’s London Maison reopens on October 24th at 17-20 New Bond Street. The store underwent months of renovations to reveal a complete reimagining of the space, featuring a sweeping double helix shaped staircase crafted in cerused oak and worked as a sculpture with an offset centre. Nine important artworks are featured throughout the store in addition to a permanent selection of Objets Nomades, the collection of designer travel and home related objects that launched in 2012, keeping alive Louis Vuitton's long tradition of beautifully crafted travel-inspired objects.

Additionally, New Bond Street is the only Maison in the world, aside from the Maison Vendôme in Paris, to hold a full high jewellery collection, highlighting the House's passion for remarkable craftsmanship and artistry. Finally, two exclusive versions of the Dauphine bag are being launched at the opening of the New Bond Street Maison, showcasing seasonal bi-colours: burgundy and navy, and dark teal and navy. Inspired by a model from Louis Vuitton’s archives, the new Dauphine bag has been redesigned by Nicolas Ghesquière for the modern era.

Address: 17-20 New Bond Street, London W1S 2RB
Open 10am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday. 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.

Icinori’s boldly colored illustrations for Louis Vuitton’s Travel Book Seoul transform the South Korean capital from impenetrable city to something more familiar and multifaceted.

“We are cartoonists, illustrators and authors. Our work is similar to screen printing: we tend to draw the different colours one by one. Our names are Icinori, Mayumi and Raphaël.”

Mayumi Otero and Raphaël Urwiller display an outstanding gift for creating sophisticated graphic designs, an entire universe of uninhibited illustrations and references to art, whether modern, classical, popular or contemporary. Over the years, they have developed a style marked primarily by boldness: early on, the two artists laid claim to the legacy of Japanese graphic arts and proclaimed their attachment to the imagery and imaginative world of Japan. The two are happy to be seen as the “modern heirs to the print masters”, although they also cite a number of illustrious painters and engravers – Goya, Dürer, Hockney, and Kuniyoshi – as well as the Florentine Renaissance, Chinese outsider art, Japanese pop-art posters, and a whole host of ephemera. Icinori delves into childhood and teenage years to give form to the present and travel through time, as illustrated in this Travel Book dedicated to Seoul, a timeless homage to the city and its inhabitants.

Louis Vuitton announces the opening of a temporary store at The Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates.

While the main Louis Vuitton store at the Dubai Mall is closed for renovations, the Maison is opening a temporary store on the Fashion Avenue, showcasing ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, shoes, watches, jewelry, sunglasses, fragrances and the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection.

Divided into womenswear and menswear, the temporary store décor pays homage to the United Arab Emirates and more specifically to Dubai through LED screens across the structure’s external walls, which display cultural, regional references such as the Burj Khalifa or the Palms, among others. The temporary store also features a 3D installation of a 5-meter-long Louis Vuitton logo in crystal, hung from the mall’s central dome.

Within the temporary store, clients will also discover a blend of local symbols mixed with vintage Parisian iconography - a perfect example the Art of Travel.
