Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce its new partnership with the America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in international sport, dating to 1851.

Louis Vuitton and the America’s Cup enjoy one of the longest partnerships in the world of sports (since 1983). For this 35th edition, the French Maison is renewing its commitment to the America’s Cup by becoming the title partner of the America’s Cup World Series, the America’s Cup Qualifiers and Challenger Playoffs, as well as the presenting partner of the America’s Cup Match.

Six teams have so far taken up the challenge of racing for the next America’s Cup. The defending champion is Oracle Team USA. The challengers are Emirates Team New Zealand, Artemis Racing (SWE), Ben Ainslie Racing (GBR), SoftBank Team Japan (JPN) and Team France.

For Louis Vuitton, this partnership represents more than simply supporting a great sporting event, it also reflects the trailblazing spirit that has characterized Louis Vuitton from its beginnings and still holds true today.

Louis Vuitton presents an exploration of the colorful city of Havana in collaboration with artists.

Highlighting the city's beautiful but forgotten areas, international artists unite as a form of recognition to Cuban Heritage and its cultural landscape.

Various people come together to form symbols of this Third Paradise. Musicians merge at the Plaza de la Catedral as a performance piece while playing different percussion instruments. Circles symbolizing nature and artifice merge in this stand for rebirth.

Buren's work is installed on the streets and in an abandoned train station. Anish Kapoor's video is projected inside an iconic cinema.
"Third paradise" is the name of Pistoletto's artworks and performance.

At the forefront of change, Louis Vuitton seeks to propose new views around travel and cultures across the globe. The House has continually contributed to move the frontiers of Fashion and Art by generating audacious projects and collaborating with visionaries.

Among the Friends of the House who have contributed to generate images of our future, Louis Vuitton supports the following artists: Anish Kapoor, Daniel Buren, Michelango Pistoletto, Shilpa Gupta, Nikhil Chopra, José Yaque and local artist Carlos Garaicoa; all are represented by the Galleria Continua during the Biennale in Cuba.

Louis Vuitton unveils new signature sunglasses, photographed by Juergen Teller.

The Louis Vuitton silhouette is just as much about accessories as fashion: the essence of personal style is all in the details. Taking on a versatile, urban edge, frames come in rounded retro shapes and neutrals - from gradations of beige and taupe to warm 'honey' tortoiseshell, a nod to the house colours.

Design elements include tiny studs and streamlined hinges, recalling the house's trunk making heritage. In addition there are metallic monogram end tips and a tonal engraving of the house logo on the lens.

The Espace Louis Vuitton München is pleased to present “Be the first of your friends”, the first monographic show of American artist Cory Arcangel in Munich.

The Espace Louis Vuitton in Munich is pleased to present the exhibition Be the first of your friends, an exhibition that brings together new works by Arcangel as well as a selection of seminal early pieces, which have been reconfigured by the artist for the exhibition.

Be the first of your friends covers several themes, which have been vital to Arcangel's work since the early aughts, including the preservation of early computer technologies (dating from the 1980s) and the recuperation of contemporary art materials and digital sources such as the Internet and YouTube. Arcangel’s unique approach to making art stems from his education in classical guitar, which coincided with the start of the digital revolution and inspired him to self-identify as a “computer programmer, composer and artist.”
