    The Louis Vuitton City Guide alights in Arles for the Rencontres d'Arles Photography Festival.

    To celebrate the 2018 Rencontres d'Arles photography festival, the Louis Vuitton City Guide is alighting in Arles with a special edition that pays tribute to the Camargue city and its world-famous festival. Arles is being honoured by Louis Vuitton with almost 150 must-see addresses, chosen by independent, well-informed authors with an eye for the unusual. The Rencontres festival and its thirty or so exhibitions feature throughout the book, and top French designer Christian Lacroix takes us on a journey of discovery around his home town, sharing a few of his favourite places. On sale in bookstores as a limited edition, a digital version of the guide in French and English will also be available from the App Store during the festival.

    And because travel is also about the art of living, Éditions Louis Vuitton will be running a pop-up book store throughout the festival, July 2 to September 23, at wine bar and delicatessen Le Buste et l'Oreille in central Arles, with special events and signing sessions with authors, artists and photographers.

  • THE WOMEN’S FALL WINTER 2018 COLLECTION

    The Women’s Fall Winter 2018 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton presents elegant eclecticism and thoughtful craftsmanship.

    In the new video that accompanies the Women’s Fall Winter 2018 collection, key looks and accessories come through with a sense of individuality and reinforce the strength of inspired design. Nicolas Ghesquière developed the ready-to-wear with an eye oriented towards contemporary savoir-faire, such that a bustier embroidered by hand using a crochet technique gives off metallic lustre, while a tweed jacket hand-stitched with chain embroidery elevates a traditional pattern with extra shine. Color-blocked dresses and tops boast inlays of silk and jersey that reinforce the collection’s contrasting attitudes of elegance and sport style. The Headline shoes combine craftsmanship and artistic flourish: hand-painted ostrich leather, a heel enveloped in python, and a metal-and-leather accessory placed by hand comprise this striking design. These are just a few glimpses into the array of detailing that makes up the collection. Each new statement on each girl is the sum of myriad well-considered parts.

    Louis Vuitton is opening its first men's pop up store in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi A11 1F, from 13rd July to 2nd August 2018, presenting Men's 2018 Fall Winter collection. 

    Through experiencing multiple landscapes on the world simultaneously, and the heritage of Louis Vuitton itself: Past, present and future, creating the modern and luxurious fashion trend for men.

    This collection is an invitation to travel between past and future by linking savoir-faire with forward vision. Recombining established wardrobe codes, remixing era references and reimagining contemporary elegance, Nicolas Ghesquière has proposed an offering that appears at once original and familiar. Whether an ample coat or a fluid evening dress, slim trousers or blouses with flattering volumes, his collection asserts an updated interpretation of French chic. Colours enhance classic silhouettes and eclectic flourishes add new sophistication. Alongside these looks are the latest handbag, which further the iconic signatures of Louis Vuitton. Among the standouts: a hatbox scaled down to a miniature size in the classic Monogram canvas; or the new Petite Malle, which envelops the Maison’s heritage with a layer of sparkle.     Louis Vuitton opens a Pop-up store dedicated to the Men's 2018 Fall-Winter collection in Tsum.

    The collection epitomises both a distinctly modern ease of movement through sportswear-influenced pieces, and different cultural experiences. The key print represents travel, comprised of photographs captured during a helicopter flight across Kenya. The resultant images are featured directly, but also influence the collection’s palette of natural, neutral earth tones, desert and mountain shades of sandstone, granite, olive and slate. They fundamentally underscore the Louis Vuitton identity of exploration and discovery.

    Leather goods and accessories are a new take on the Maison’s heritage. The Monogram is revisited in different colours and finishes. Monogram Titanium is joined by Monogram Glaze, whose mirror-coated high-shine finish is an update on the Monogram canvas, referencing the Vernis of the late 1990s. In Macassar and Eclipse colorways, Monogram Glaze is showcased in bags, footwear and the ready-to-wear. The signature lustre of Monogram Fluo, highlights the collection’s energetic neon accent colours. The collection is exclusively presented in a Pop-up store in TSUM from July 4th.
