• MEN’S SPRING-SUMMER 2019 SHOW: RAINBOW VISION

    Virgil Abloh brings a rainbow of inspiration and inclusivity to his first Men’s collection for Louis Vuitton.

    Within the gardens of the Domaine du Palais Royal, a gradient rainbow runway signaled the new vision of Virgil Abloh. Uniting the Maison’s tradition of travel and luxury with a global message of positivity, Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Ready-to-Wear Artistic Director proposed a collection complete with reimagined contemporary silhouettes, leathergoods and accessories. Beginning with the opening looks in layers of white, the lineup continued as a representation of light refracted through a prism – a spectrum not just of colour but also design possibilities.

    Relaxed tailoring maintained a strong presence as the constant between comfortable day looks and formal attire. Harnesses and vests featuring an archive pocket design embodied Abloh’s idea of “accessomorphosis” whereby an accessory becomes a garment, thus evolving its function. Streetwear silhouettes took on elevated new forms through an exact twist of three-percent from their original shape. The iconic Keepall became dynamically revisited in transparent and iridescent monogram surfaces, or else in all-over white, ruby red and emerald leathers – each bag boasting an enlarged chain strap.

    As models from around the world walked the runway in LV Skate sneaker boots, formal derbies studded with LV hardware, and vintage LV Runner sneakers, they evoked Abloh’s ideal of the Yellow Brick Road, Dorothy’s path of discovery and otherworldly escape. Scenes from the film appear integrated into embroidered knitwear and printed outwear, in addition to the final silver leather poncho with commemorative Louis Vuitton and Wizard of Oz beaded patches. This was Abloh’s story of a dream made real, and the future is bright.

    Louis Vuitton celebrates this Summer the Opening of a Pop-up store from June 20th 2018 in Nammos Beach

    Mykonos, June 2018- Louis Vuitton is ready to welcome the summer breeze of the Aegean Sea with its new point of selling in NAMMOS Village, situated on the cosmopolitan beach of Psarou. A remarkable shopping area with botanical gardens where the visitors can find a selection of Men’s and Women’s RTW, Exotic Leather Goods, Men’s & Women’s Shoes, Watches & Jewelry and the Exclusive Line of Mykonos LV Collection for 2018. In the store you can also discover a special capsule collection dedicated to Objets Nomades, the beautifully crafted travel objects created by some of the world’s most renowned designers especially for Louis Vuitton.

    The architectural concept, true to the Louis Vuitton desire to make each store unique, pays tribute to the way of life so characteristic of the Cyclades islands. Noble raw materials and light shades; clean-cut elegance prevails. The two floors store is part of a new sales experience and a new interpretation of sophistication. The outdoors area creates a chilled and relaxed extension of the store, with a lounge ideally designed for laid back shopping the Mykonian way.

    The pop-up store will be open from June 20th until end of season, from 11am until 11pm daily.

    As part of its LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF partnership and on the occasion of World Children’s Day, Louis Vuitton launches a new Silver Lockit bracelet designed by Sophie Turner.

    World Children’s Day, held on November 20th, marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. It is a day to honor children and mobilize people to help save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential. In continuation of its #MAKEAPROMISE campaign, Louis Vuitton, with the help of Sophie Turner, continues its commitment to raise awareness and funds for UNICEF to support the most vulnerable children around the world.

    Sophie Turner, English actress and Friend of the House, was invited by Louis Vuitton to design a special Silver Lockit bracelet to help LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF continue its promise to helping children. Inspired by her notion of luck, the bracelet was designed with braided red and white cord colours with a circular charm rabbit illustration, taken from the design* of her most recent tattoo.

    Since the launch of the Silver Lockit in 2016, the partnership has raised over six US million dollars for UNICEF.

    The Silver Lockit, inspired by the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients’ most precious belongings, is a symbol of protection. It was chosen as a symbol of sealing one’s promise to help children at risk.

    The launch of the Silver Lockit by Sophie Turner will be held on November 20th 2018 on louisvuitton.com and in over 160 Louis Vuitton stores worldwide.
