A new exhibition at the Espace culturel Louis Vuitton explores the role of others in the construction of one’s own identity.

From June 5th until September 15th 2013, ‘Otherness. I is Somebody Else’ will be exhibited at the Espace culturel Louis Vuitton in Paris. Exploring the eternal question of identity, this journey plunges into the deepest part of oneself and pushes boundaries of knowledge and consciousness from the private realm to the discovery of the Other.

The artists who have been selected to represent this existential issue are from different countries and backgrounds. From the stage costumes of renowned performance artist Leigh Bowery to the expressionist drawings of exiled artist Reza Hazare, the works in this exhibition open up new ideas and new spaces.

A unique grain and a subtle colour palette, the Iconic Neverfull bag is finally released in Epi leather.

Epi has always been synonymous with colour at Louis Vuitton. It was the first coloured leather line to be launched by the House in 1985 (you might have recently caught a glimpse of some of the collection  on iconic bridges across the world).

Today one of Louis Vuitton's Signatures will meet one of the most iconic shapes of the House thanks to the introduction of the Neverfull in Epi line. For the first time the House is launching a Neverfull in leather, a colourful addition to this iconic shape.

This new version of the Neverfull will suit everyday occasions; a possibility to play with colours easily for a feminine, casual chic silhouette.

Never has a full range of Epi colours been so highly anticipated.

This summer, Louis Vuitton takes you to the San Francisco Bay for the 30th Louis Vuitton Cup, followed by the 34th America's Cup.

The 8th regatta in the history of the Louis Vuitton Cup, taking place in the San Francisco Bay from July 4th to September 21st, promises to be a decisive and yet unpredictable event.

Decisive because of the three competing teams, only the winner will earn the right to challenge Oracle Team USA, the American titleholder, in the hope of capturing the 34th America's Cup trophy. Decisive too, for the defender, as a decision is made on which of its two boats will participate in the America's Cup during the trials that take place at the Louis Vuitton Cup.

Like the seven previous regattas, this 8th Louis Vuitton Cup offers an element of surprise. The three competing teams, Artemis Racing, Emirates Team New Zealand, and Luna Rossa have recruited the finest sailors, technicians and engineers in the world. Thus, the Louis Vuitton Cup will not only be a prestigious regatta, but also a crucial preparatory phase for an America's Cup featuring boats that are difficult to master and have never been used in competition before.

  • CANNES DIARY

A diary of the Cannes Film Festival from director Jordan Schiele, awarded the Jury’s Special Mention for the Louis Vuitton Journeys Awards competition in 2012.

Louis Vuitton continues its strong link with the world of cinema through this Cannes Diary and artistic collaboration with director Jordan Schiele. Jordan was awarded the Jury’s Special Mention for the Louis Vuitton Journeys Awards short film competition in 2012. He was also subsequently selected for the prestigious Cannes Residence program in 2012 and invited to attend the festival this year as a guest.

The Cannes International Film festival was founded in 1946 and is today one of the most prestigious film events in the world. This short film diary of Cannes reveals the festival through the perspective of Louis Vuitton including life in hotels, the premier party for Sofia Coppola’s film ‘The Bling Ring’, the red carpet and numerous encounters with celebrities. All this is done through a cinematic lens with resonating nostalgia, complemented by the music from Maurice Chevalier’s ‘You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me’ and the voice of George Goldenstern.

  • A DAMIER SIGNATURE, PART TWO

In 1889, at the Paris World Fair, the Damier canvas was born; a patented invention with for the first time, the inscription “L. Vuitton registered trademark”.

Almost a century after its creation in 1888, the Damier pattern was reintroduced by the Maison Louis Vuitton. Among the wide range of Damier canvases that have been introduced since then, the darker palette, subtle and elegant, has been one of the most appreciated.

More masculine and revisited in black and anthracite, the Damier has become undeniably urban. Damier Graphite is the first Louis Vuitton line solely dedicated to men. Adorned in smooth black leather and polished palladium hardware, the historic motif adopts an urban look that is stylish, streamlined, modern and cosmopolitan.
    The Damier story continues...
