The Asnières atelier is a pivotal location. Barely five years after founding Louis Vuitton, Louis himself began to outgrow his Parisian headquarters. In 1859, he relocated the new workshop to Asnières, a village a few kilometers northwest of Paris. 

This new atelier was built in the ethereal Eiffel style, combining glass and steel. The exceptional savoir-faire of the Asnières artisans is such that, even today, key pieces are created here: rigid trunks, designs in rare or exotic leathers, special orders. 

From within its “Galérie” in Asnières, Louis Vuitton presents Time Capsule, a journey through the history of the House that revisits its landmark innovations in technology and design. Travelling from the House’s beginnings in 1854 to the present day, the story is told using rare and celebrated objects selected from the Louis Vuitton archive.

The exhibition follows a visual timeline of landmark moments in the Louis Vuitton story, demonstrating the ways in which Louis Vuitton has anticipated the needs and desires of a changing world over 160 years generated by technological progress, with imaginative and ingenious new creations.

In Time Capsule, heirloom designs live alongside some of the House’s most contemporary pieces, highlighting the ongoing commitment to constant innovation.

The store will premiere the fashion show collection, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of the Louis Vuitton women’s collections. Placed in shinsegae Gangnam, the Louis Vuitton pop up store will be open to public from July 13th till the 26th and personalized in a unique way to recall the inspirations of the collection.

The pop-up store will feature the exclusive collection in women handbag and accessories, etc as well. Leather goods, shoes and ready-to-wear that showed in the paris fashion show, on March, 2018 will also feature in the pop-up store.

Until March 2017, at the Men's Pop-Up Store, customers will be able to discover selected ready-to-wear items as well as accessories and bags from current and upcoming collections, in particular the Men's Spring-Summer 2017 Collection, all created by Men's Artistic Director, Kim Jones.

Kim Jones' inspiration for the Men's Spring-Summer 2017 Collection: the vastness of Africa – to be understood metaphorically as a return to the heritage of the House and to Kim Jones' own childhood, which he spent in Southern Africa. There are traces of Africa throughout the designs, for which he collaborated for the second time with British artistic duo Jake and Dinos Chapman on the giraffe, zebra and rhino prints.

Louis Vuitton has proudly supported the America’s Cup, and its unique blend of tradition and innovation, since 1983. This current Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series is a global series of events, involving all six challenging teams, leading up to the 35th America’s Cup in British Bermuda in June 2017.

The Series culminates with the three-day event in Fukuoka: a practice race on November 18th, followed by the final two-day race on the 19th and 20th. In Celebration of this event, Louis Vuitton Fukuoka store now has a new faҫade, to reflect the America’s Cup universe. Also, special items from the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup collection are available.

Furthermore, Louis Vuitton is planning a special exhibition around the victory trophy, open from 2 PM to 5 PM daily from November 12th to 16th (Saturday through Wednesday). The trophy will be encased in a unique Louis Vuitton travel case, the creation of three artisans and over 400 hours of labor at the Louis Vuitton workshop in the Parisian suburb of Asnières. We encourage you to come and see.
