The Exhibition

From May 23, 2023 to February 17, 2024, Louis Vuitton presents its exhibition Malle Courrier, which honors an emblematic piece of its savoir-faire.

The Maison d'Asnières, the historic heart of Louis Vuitton, has been home to its workshops since 1859. Simultaneously a family home, a manufacturing workshop and an exhibition space, it has been a scene of flourishing creativity since its acquisition. Bringing together the most skilled artisans, it offers an ideal setting for the creation of exceptional pieces: handbags, trunks and special orders made from rare and precious materials. Beating to the rhythm of hammering nails and sewing machines, this extraordinary living space welcomes visitors for intimate stagings that showcase the Maison's iconic pieces.

Among them, the Malle Courrier is unveiled in a new exhibition. Created in 1858 and patented in 1867, it embodies the spirit of travel with its ingenious lightweight design and waterproof structure. With its name inspired by long-haul flights, it comprises all of Louis Vuitton's artisanal savoir-faire: lozine, metal adornments, rivets, locks, buckles, casework, and more. Discover this timeless expertise in every detail.
