Since 2018, the Louis Vuitton City Guide has highlighted Arles, the town with a multifaceted heritage that has earned a place among key cultural cities, in conjunction with its world-famous Rencontres de la Photographie. Contributing to this latest edition are the three sisters at the helm of independent and award-winning publishing house, Actes Sud. As the third generation, Anne-Sylvie Bameule, Julie Gautier, and Pauline Capitani are all keen wards of the city's roots, proponents of its progress, and experts in living the good life in the Provençal locale, between the city, sea, and mountains. This edition taps into the city’s unique spirit, guiding the reader where to indulge, relax, and learn, and sharing a glimpse of the program for the Rencontres. Photographs of the city and the surrounding Camargue region by Flore‑Aël Surun from the Tendance Floue collective and Guillaume Blot bring the dynamic city to even more vibrant life. The Louis Vuitton City Guide spots trends, gives advice, and tracks the changes transforming cities. Exploring the world’s leading metropolises for over 20 years, it takes an offbeat look at fashion, design, contemporary art, food and culture in 35 cities, including Paris, New York, London and Tokyo. Writers and guests from all walks of life provide a completely subjective view of the most beautiful hotels, the best restaurants, the quirkiest shops, and the most famous historic places.
