Nicknamed “Slim” because he was tall and lanky, American photographer George Allen Aarons is famous for his carefree images of celebrities, aristocrats, Hollywood stars and captains of industry. A pleasure seeker and a gentleman, at a certain point he decided he wanted to enjoy the good life - probably owing to the fact that, as a young photographer, he had enlisted in the US Army and documented the horrors of World War II.
