Everyday life and the mundane are Jonathan LLense’s preferred testing grounds. The ephemerality that surges from his photographs, their verticality, the different takes on blurriness and precision reflect his own reality, which he delivers haphazardly, as he follows his instinct. For several weeks, he traveled across this faraway part of France, forever associated with postcard landscapes. He takes an uncompromising look, as harsh as it is intangible, at this artificial paradise, where the beaches and palm trees are nothing more than dark mirrors of themselves.
