The Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime 40mm in platinum stands as the foremost Louis Vuitton timepiece, embodying the House's art of travel. Every element of the case, shaped like a miniature trunk with an unprecedented level of hand-finishings, works in tandem to highlight time as the most precious feature. The Escale Worldtime features a distinctive in-house caliber, indicating the main 24 time zones via city initials, while the jumping hour disc provides an intuitive way to read the time. On the dial, flags in 25 different colors are handcrafted over 80 hours, using the exacting Grand Feu enamel technique. The center of the dial features a central flying tourbillon shaped like the signature Monogram Flower.

The use of colourless fluids and heat treatment is recognised as a traditional lapidary practice in addition to the cutting and polishing of certain coloured gemstones, as well as the bleaching of pearls. Our gemstones may have undergone these general enhancement practices.
